In a true "It's a Wonderful Life" moment, customers of British bank Northern Rock rushed the bank, withdrawing about $2 billion dollars after the bank asked for a loan from the government. So everyone panicked! It doesn't look like any old ladies were knocked down but they'll just have to wait and see if Mama Dollar and Papa Dollar make it through the panic.
