Plane Catches Fire After Landing at Japan-Naha Airport from Taiwan

Here's another amazing video of a plane on fire. This one happened several minutes after landing from Taiwan. We've included the description that originally accompanied the video.

A plane belonging to Taiwan's China Airlines caught fire at Naha airport(OKA) on Japan's southern island of Okinawa on Monday, and there were conflicting reports about whether some people might still be on board.

Some reports suggested all passengers and crew had made it off the airliner, but one report suggested four people might still be trapped on board, a Naha city fire official said.

The Boeing 737 passenger plane had flown from Taipei to Naha, Okinawa's capital, with 155 passengers on board, public broadcaster said. An engine caught fire three minutes after the plane landed, broadcaster said.

TV pictures showed black smoke billowing from the plane as airport fire crews smothered it in foam.

The magnitude-7.9 temblor yesterday left at least 827 people hurt, the country's civil defense agency said on its Web site.
The government declared a state of emergency and countries such as Mexico and Panama pledged aid. It was the world's most powerful quake since a magnitude-8.1 temblor struck off the Solomon Islands in April, triggering a tsunami that killed 54 people.
The region of Ica was hardest hit by the quake, which happened at about 6:41 p.m. local time. All the injured and all except one of the dead came from the area, where a hospital was destroyed and four were damaged, the agency said. One person died in Peru's capital, Lima.

Drunk Stewardess at Airport: "I'm a F***ing Flight Attendant" - Sarah Mills

A flight attendant was arrested earlier this month for allegedly being drunk on the job and continues to wait for her day in court.
An attorney for Sarah Mills said he needs time to review surveillance video of the woman after she was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.
That video shows the 26-year-old saying to jailers, "You guys are so dumb, all I did was get drunk." She asks to go home, and even curses. Later, in a holding cell, Mills is captured on tape crawling on the ground, pressing her face into the glass at the bottom of the door.
Police said on Aug. 5, passengers aboard an ASA flight, about to depart Lexington for Atlanta, alerted the pilot that they thought Mills was drunk. Court records show her blood alcohol was point-0-32 when she was arrested at Blue Grass Airport. javascript:void(0)

Murder Victim's Father Attacks Killer in Ohio Courtroom

Here's a truly amazing video from a courtroom where the father of a murder victim tries to choke his son's killer. Here's the story courtesy of Fox News:

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — The father of a murder victim dived across the defense table, swung at his son's killer and tried to choke him in an eastern Ohio courtroom on Monday before a sheriff and other law enforcement officers pulled the two men apart.

Antonio Clifford, 20, of Cincinnati had just pleaded guilty to aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence in the July 29, 2006, shooting death of Joshua Ryan Sweat, 28, of Weirton, W.Va. Sweat was trying to buy drugs behind a Steubenville bar when he was robbed and shot once in the back of the head. He died later at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Before sentencing Clifford on Monday, Jefferson County Common Pleas Judge Joseph Bruzzese Jr. allowed Sweat's relatives to stand and read statements. Mike Sweat, the victim's father, approached Clifford saying he wanted to show him a picture. He then attacked and screamed obscenities at Clifford while police wrestled Sweat to the ground. Sweat was taken to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, where Sheriff Fred Abdalla said he calmed down. Sweat will likely not be charged, Abdalla said.

After the courtroom was cleared of the victim's family members, Bruzzese sentenced Clifford to 33 years to life in prison. Because Clifford pleaded guilty, prosecutors chose not to seek the death penalty, prosecutor Jane Keenan said. Two other co-defendants, both from Steubenville, have already pleaded guilty in the case. Byron Johnson, 20, was sentenced to 18 years to life in prison. Patrick Thurman, 20, is awaiting sentencing.

He may have won the Indy 500 this spring but Dario Franchitti became airborne this weekend at the 2007 IRL Michigan International Speedway. His car flipped through the air and was hit by several other cars before stopping during lap 144. Amazingly he is okay. Too bad for her, they caught on to her status and made a big announcement that they had found a mole and wanted to play 'spor the undercover reporter'. Minneapolis Bridge Collapses During Rush Hour - I35 West - surveillance camera footage

Here's the story straight from CNN on the Minneapolis bridge collapse into the Mississippi river.

Officials said at least 62 people were injured in the Wednesday evening rush-hour disaster. Twenty people were missing, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, and 30 to 50 cars remain in the river, the U.S. Coast Guard said.
Security camera video showed the Interstate 35W bridge's center section collapsing into the river in less than four seconds. The northern end of the span appeared to drop first and the southern end followed.
CNN obtained the video from a source who asked to remain unidentified because they were not authorized to distribute it publicly.
